Site Rules

DrawFest aims to be a safe and fun place for all artists. Please read and follow these rules.

1. General Rules

  1. 1.You must be 13 years of age or older to register and use DrawFest.
  2. 2.Only one active account is allowed per person.
  3. 3.Do not attempt to impersonate any site members, especially staff.
  4. 4.Hateful or discriminatory content and behavior is prohibited.
  5. 5.All artworks and characters posted must be your own, or ones you have explicit permission to use with credit.
  6. 6.DrawFest does not tolerate the use of any AI-generated content.
  7. 7.Do not spam or link any potentially malicious or illegal content.
  8. 8.Content that may violate, harm, or threaten the safety or personal rights of anyone is not allowed.

2. Attack Rules

  1. 1.Attacks must be wholly original and must be made specifically for DrawFest during the event.
  2. 2.All art submitted as an attack must clearly display effort and respect the original character's design.
  3. 3.You may not collaborate with others when making attacks. Attacks must be made solely by you.
  4. 4.Bases, character creators, and dollmakers may not be used for attacks.
  5. 5.Art from commissioned work, previous artwork, and other art events may not be uploaded as an attack.
  6. 6.Planning/thumbnailing attacks before the event officially begins is permitted, but you cannot include any visual assets made before the event starts.
  7. 7.You may submit attacks against members of your own team (Friendly Fire).

3. Character Rules

  1. 1.Characters uploaded to DrawFest must be substantially original and capable of being rendered standalone in attacks.
  2. 2.Non-characters such as dividers, wishlists, or advertisements cannot be uploaded.
  3. 3.Unaltered canon characters cannot be uploaded as characters.
  4. 4.Characters based on real life events and cultures must be portrayed respectfully.
  5. 5.Extremely simple characters with no defined features cannot be uploaded.
  6. 6.Object characters must be sentient to be uploaded.

4. Point System

  1. 1.Points are awarded based on the effort and completeness of the artwork.
  2. 2.Fullbody artwork earns more points than busts or headshots.
  3. 3.Colored artwork earns more points than sketches.
  4. 4.Shaded artwork earns bonus points.
  5. 5.Detailed backgrounds earn bonus points.
  6. 6.Users can earn bonus points by rating other attacks anonymously.

Moderators may remove content or terminate accounts at any time if found in violation of these rules. If you believe a user may be violating our rules, please use the report button on their profile or attack.
