  8. 8.Content that must be filtered according to DrawFest may not be displayed in user profiles, comments, or icons, due to the inability to filter them as with characters and attacks, unless under a spoiler with a warning. This includes images that would need eyestrain, gore, or another content filter. Content that contains NSFW or suggestive content is strictly prohibited on profiles. Members are subject to having this content removed by a moderator depending on severity and amount.
  9. 9.Content that may violate, harm, or threaten the safety or personal rights of anyone is not allowed. This includes disclosing personal information.
  10. 10.DrawFest takes no responsibility for the risks associated with exchanging personal information or addresses in the event that a member wants to physically send their crafted/traditional attack to you. We do not recommend minors to give out their address without permission from a parent / guardian first.

2. Upload Rules

  1. 1.All artworks and characters posted to DrawFest must be your own, or ones you have explicit permission to use with credit. Art theft and character theft is strictly prohibited in DrawFest. - We define art theft as directly using an image you didn't create, tracing, directly referencing someone else's artwork, or using someone else's art as a component of your work without permission. Attacks may not incorporate elements that are heavily referenced or traced directly from the works of others, which includes photos, 3D models and any artwork.
  2. 2.Characters uploaded to DrawFest must be wholly original and capable of being rendered in attacks. Non-characters, like dividers, additional artwork examples, wishlists, locations, outfit ideas with no characters attached, etc. should not be uploaded as a character.
  3. 3.Attacks must be wholly original. The use of bases, while allowed for character images, is not allowed in attacks. This includes bases made by yourself and bases made by others. Pre-made brushes and assets may be used.
  4. 4.Generally, the use of photos/photography in character profiles and attacks is acceptable. Crediting photography is encouraged, but not necessary. Photos of your own/others’ traditional artwork MUST have the appropriate artist credit. Photos taken of pets or of yourself (so long as you are not a minor) may be used as character references. Note: Photo backgrounds in attacks are allowed.
  5. 5.Fandom characters that expand upon any pre-existing media, setting, or species are allowed on DrawFest, but credit to the original media must be given somewhere on the character's profile.
  6. 6.Historical characters associated with Nazis or any groups affiliated with real world genocide are not permitted on the site. Characters based on tragic current events are likewise not allowed. Any other historical character based on a tragedy must be depicted respectfully, have a sensitive content warning applied, and may be removed at moderator discretion.
  7. 7.All art submitted as an attack must clearly display effort and respect the original characters’ designs and form. Any art that differs greatly from the original design is subject to removal at moderator discretion, examples being: Art which extremely over-simplifies a character’s original design. Intentional changes to a character’s design which makes them unrecognizable as the original. Blatant disrespect of the user’s character permissions, especially those regarding maturity rules. Mass/multi-design attacks that are not labeled with the intended owner of each design. Mass character design attacks (wherein a user compiles several characters designed for two or more users into one attack), or multi-design attacks, must clearly indicate within the attack itself who each design is intended for. If each design is not clearly allocated to a user, the entire attack may be removed.
  8. 8.Do not insult or mock anyone’s art or characters. This includes bashing certain species, art styles, character designs, as well as your own art!
  9. 9.Any form of content on the site that necessitates NSFW Themes are banned from the site. DrawFest is server suited for ages thirteen and over; failure to abide by this rule puts underage users at risk and will result in a ban all together.

3. Spirit of DrawFest

  1. 1.All attacks must be made specifically for DrawFest during the duration of the event. In other words, you may not create attacks before the event officially begins; this includes preparing sketches beforehand to complete during the event. Failure to abide by this rule will result in your removal from the current event, or a ban from DrawFest altogether.
  2. 2.Do not use art received or made during DrawFest for profit (e.g. in character sales, trades, auctions, etc.). Creating a character to gain art with the intention of selling it is prohibited.

You cannot count your own character as an attack.
