Revna Viluf

Revna was born just after the beginning of the great war, and grew up to watch her once mighty house fall. Watching the slow decline from a noble house that could reasonably provide the next Rakasha to the barely respected governance of a small northern settlement deep within the wilderness. The centuries old family home being all that remains of what was once a proud clan. This upbringing instilled in her the unflinching goal to reclaim the house’s former glory and security. Unfortunately for her and the fellow children of the clan this desire to prove themselves led to tragedy when they heard drunken elders discussing what they thought was a demon nearby. The group thought foolishly they could take on the beast, and paid with their lives. 

The time between her last breath and her “awakening” is a blur. Revna only knows that she found herself alone wandering the winter wilderness of Verrock, a mysterious sword in hand. She knew it was not a dream, her body still cold and the scar over heart, but she didn’t know where she was, what she was, or what truly happened to the two that died beside her. Unsure of what to do, Revna continued to wander. Living wild in the wilderness with only her fellow amnesiac sword to speak too. That was until she was found by a wandering traveler named Salinger , who saw the lost child, and immediately dropped her in a heavily populated area. Revna, forced to wander the city, ran into Bethel who pitying this poor child gave her a small job bodyguarding after a semisuccessful afternoon of nannying. Enjoying her small little life she began to build, until she recently received a letter from Bethel and Sal, telling her to go to the same place but with wildly contradictory instructions.

This is where she met her party, and in their first quest uncovered knowledge beyond their comprehension, and became wanted by the church for their discovery. From there the group found themselves engulfed further and further as they attempted to unravel the mysteries of this world. All the while Revna regained her lost memories and is currently trying to untangle her place in this mystery. Finding herself the only descended of two legendary houses, a warlock with a pact and patron she knows nothing about, and a family lost after they were betrayed by one of their own that she must find.

Fun Facts:

- Revna often wears an expression that implies she has no thoughts. This is often on purpose as she likes to use her youth to make people underestimate her. However this feeds into her habit of lying to avoid conversations she doesn't want to have.

-Her resurrection left Revna with an odd form of amnesia, she understands the words and concepts she knew in life but has none of the memories to give them context. She describes her state in one session saying, "I know what a mother is, and I know that I had one. Everyone does, but I couldn't tell you what it meant to feel a mother's love because I have no memories of that feeling to compare to other feelings." Even now that she has her memories mostly back she still has a hard time connecting with people as her current opinions and pre-revival images of what things like a "friend" is.

- Revna is a tad feral and is always thinking of how to assure her party mates' survival. Often though she will take unecessary risks when someone hits her soft spots whether that be a stab at her dead siblings Paavos and Inga or threatening children who she will always jump to defend.

-Revna has a bone flute she enjoys playing whenever she gets down time
